Homeschoolers
Twirl Kidspace offers home-schoolers, parents and teachers the opportunity to come together in an inspiring setting to learn, create, play and socialize. We have set aside two dedicated times on Mondays and Wednesdays between 12pm and 3pm, for home school groups to enjoy our unique facilities on a free basis.

During these hours, home school groups can reserve the space for their own use. Alternatively, we will provide a facilitator-led activity based on our Kidspace Field Trip program. In addition, there will be the chance for self-directed play and exploration of our interactive Exhibit Area. The session can also be parent/teacher-led, focusing on what the group is currently studying. Numbers are limited to 24. In addition, any home school group is welcome to join in our free Thursday and Saturday events. On Thursdays, we have Twirl Play Days from 3pm – 5pm, with a story and different craft activity every week. Saturday mornings is Twirl Explorers from 11am – 1pm, when children have the chance to learn new things about this world and beyond. School Groups
Twirl Kidspace is striving to be an accessible place for teachers to take their students for curriculum enhancement. Our interactive Exhibit Area is available for school children ages 5 to 12 years and their teachers to come together off-campus, free of charge, to learn, create and play, in an inspiring and educational setting.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, between 10am – 2pm, we offer free Kidspace Field Trips. for grades pre-K through Grade 5. During this time, the children will be introduced to a monthly theme based on our current highlighted exhibit.

In addition to self-exploration of our Exhibit Area, we will provide interactive activities, as well as some materials for pre- and post-visit classroom work. A new exhibit will be added each month through the end of the school year, with related monthly calendar topics.

Visitors
Families visiting Taos are warmly invited to take part in our activities and enjoy the unique facilities of Twirl Kidspace. We have parent and child classes for under 5 year olds on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition, we offer free, activity sessions for children of all ages twice weekly. On Thursdays, we have Twirl Play Days from 3pm – 5pm, with a story and different craft activity every week. We also have a beautiful outdoor area with interactive exhibits for play and learning. Children accompanied by their parents can come any time they want during store opening hours to touch, explore and enjoy the exhibits.

Last, but by no means least, there is our not-to-be-missed toy store. It is truly one of a kind, a real Taos treasure. Previous visitors have been amazed and delighted by its unique combination of imaginative, well-made toys and magical, rambling setting.

Wednesdays is Music and Play for Toddlers, an hour session from 10am – 11am followed by a Baby /Pre-walker Playspace session from 11am – 11:45am. Numbers are restricted to 12 children plus parents. We also have pre-school ballet on a Friday morning, between 11am - 11:45am. Cost is $5 with punch card, $6 without. Find out more in our main Kidspace section or download our monthly calendar.

Parents

In addition, we offer free activity sessions for children of all ages twice weekly. On Thursdays, we have Twirl Play Days from 3pm – 5pm, with a story and different craft-driven activity every week. Saturday mornings between 11am – 1pm is Outdoor Explorers, when children have the chance to learn something different about the world they live in each week.
